Glossy, BERRY Lip Obsession

Hey everybody!

I’ve recently become obsessed with berry-toned lip colors. More specifically, GLOSSY berry-toned lip colors. I have come across some really amazing lip formulas that feel just as good as they look.

I’ve rounded up 3 different products that each give off a uniquely gorgeous BERRY-like shade.

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Shine Lipstick — “Gleaming Plum”

I have raved about this line of lipsticks from L’Oreal over and over! They are just SO GOOD!

The shade “Gleaming Plum” is probably one of the most rich, unique lipstick colors I’ve seen in a while. It is just so gorgeously complex in tone, and indescribably plum-y in the best possible way! This shade has a perfect balance of cool/warm tones that makes it look beautiful to wear year-round. “Gleaming Plum” is definitely a color that really surprises you in the best possible way!

The formula in these lipsticks are probably the most nourishing I’ve ever tried; They truly feel like a super-hydrating lip balm. I would not say that this product is long-wear– I do feel the need to touch it up after eating/drinking. That being said, they are SO comfortable to wear and easy to re-apply.

The shine and radiance these guys have really create a “glass lips” finish.

GORGEOUS!

Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick — “Risky Berry”

I absolutely LOVE this line of lipsticks– the consistency is smooth and nourishing. I would definitely describe the texture as having an emollient “slip” to it. Per Maybelline, this line is “oil-in-stick” and consists of 60% reflective oils to amp up the shine. The packaging is also really beautiful- the shiny rose gold tube looks very luxe. I will definitely be picking up more shades in this range!

You can definitely tell that this is an oil-based formula, but it doesn’t feel like its going to slide around and melt all over your face.

The pigment in the “Risky Berry” shade blew me away –the color is SUPER vibrant and luminous. It is definitely not a “purple” berry shade — it has some pink in it that can come off a little fuchsia. It’s such a fun spring/summer shade! The swatch above was after just 1 swipe of product!

Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Cream — “Spiced Berry”

Y’all. I seriously can’t believe that this good of a formula exists in the drugstore for less than $5.00! When I saw this line of lip creams be referred to as a “dupe” for this Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Balm (photo below) that has been getting rave reviews, I did not hesitate to order it online the exact same day!

The feeling this product has feels so moisturizing and smooth on the lips. I would describe the feeling as a creamy gloss that shines. It has the soft consistency of a cream product, while still being light weight and never sticky.  It comes in a squeeze tube, and I find the application pretty easy to use- it isn’t hard to get an even layer of color.

The “Spiced Berry” shade is GORGEOUS and has a very obvious luminosity to it. In my opinion, this shade is a true, more traditional “berry” color on me.

I would say that of all the lipsticks mentioned in the post, this one is the most long wearing and slowly fades away leaving a really pretty “stain” on your lips for hours. These just have SUCH a soft, luxurious feel!
